Where's the download link to the game? I've searched the forum, it's nowhere to be found...

It's not a game. It's a pack of random stuff. Not a game. Yet.

Hopefully we can organize enough to make a fully functional (probably super short) game this time around. I'm getting sick of just making random stuff, whether alone or with a group.

I've been doing this with the old Freerunner engine. I'm trying to find ways of optimizing and re-organizing the code so that it can be managed easier. I'd like to start doing this with BGE, but I would need help with it. I think code organization should be the first thing to do before even attempting to make a full game because more stuff will need to be added, and it will be impossible to manage it all if something isn't done about the code. Also, the game seems bloated for some reason and that would probably be the first thing I would fix.

I've been meaning to fix up the coding for BGE, but never got around to do it, its very unorganized. I barely remember what all the stuff does. It just got so big that I didn't want to touch it anymore.

That's why I always start over, and slowly add stuff back. I find that most efficient, to see what affects what, so I can categorise things accordingly.

'Tis a shame that we all have our own little quirks when it comes to programming. It must be difficult to work together with others if you can't understand their code organization.
Then again, it's those quirks that give it that "I Made That" feeling.

It would be awesome if we could start it up again... I was pretty disappointed when it was cancelled, just felt like we had failed. I agree with everything that's been said, we need better organisation, so everyone needs to be clear of what they're supposed to be doing and when the deadline is (depending on what they are doing in and outside of the game.) So, yeah... I've made my point clear that I would love for OBSG/BSC to start up again

however, when there groups of coders: the coder should only work in the section assigned to them. One person works on objects coding, and another coder works on stuff like the player. Also effective coding : optimizing the code to run to run with little execution.
