Not necessarily Unity, but yeah. This thing is dead. We should just let it die instead of elongating it. In the time we do Blitz stuff we can do and learn so much more. I suggest learn some C# specifically for Unity and maybe some time we can put our different skills together to make one new engine. Maybe. For now I suggest everyone to have at least SOME knowledge in programming (Unity's C# seems like the best idea so far), modelling, and animation so we can be ready to make our own engines and stuff when the time comes.

woah... Does it have a whole community, pounds of different characters, lots of stages, customizable sounds, changable huds, a whole proboards forum and debug? ... Sorry for late reply, but bro, that's not even an argument. >Whole community: No sonic engine exists in unity yet, and this community isn't exactly big. >Different characters: None are different. 95% are rips of the same models. >Lots of stages: Most are either rips or unplayable sketchup stages. >Customizable sounds: Unity 3D is more than capable of this... >Changable HUDs: Same as above.. >A whole pro boards forum: No engine exists yet for there to be a forum on it. >Debug: If someone can code an engine for Unity 3D they can probably code debug too. No offense, we aren't hating Blitz 3D cause it's an old engine BTW. We hate it cause it's a bad engine to begin with. The more we stay on this, the worse.

You all say it's dead but no one's DOING anything. If you wanted it to be alive that bad, you'd take initiative and DO things.
The first generation of this started with the people who coded it, their friends such as Athbucket (RIP), Twilightzoney, Bagjac, then eventually the others who used their things such as Arrow, SonicFanNr1 and a few others got it popular. Then people like me, XxSuperShadicxX, Corey, and Oz took it over. Twilightzoney got bored with it, Athbucket had his own horrid circumstances, SonicFanNr1 was around still for a while, Bagjac moved on, but for the most part the popular ones were sort of in their own new "generation."
Then there started to arise a new generation of people doing things with BGE, LS5E2, SonicDBZFan made an engine, and like that there were a billion options and no one knew what to do anymore. Everything came with stages and animations there was nothing new to do. We ripped everything from everything and caught the engine up to date with each released game...
This led to the worst part of what's happening now: EVERYTHING IS RIPPED. Like holy crap, do you all REALLY have to have the Sonic Colors model and animations for EVERY engine variation? How many times are you all going to do your half-finished rip of a Sonic Adventure stage before you decide to make your own?
That's what happened to the community: people who had fun and were inspired to make things that were creative and new are all gone. If you want things to happen, get modeling, coding, animating, and whatever else to make something NEW. No more trying to do exactly what happened in the real games. Be creative and make your own reality of it. That's what was fun. Not to be a hypocrite as I'm modeling one, but the next Seaside/Green/Emerald/Splash Hill I see I'm gonna kick someone. Look to the old videos of Blitz and see what I mean. People wanted to make their own cool things.
That's what this generation lacks. This generation is just complaining and waiting for the old generations to come back and "release" something new for them to play with, like waiting for a dead band to make a new song.

You know what you're right, I know sonicdbzfan07 is busy coding his blitz sonic advanced engine, but the level quality from him has plummeted, his megamix and city escape stages are his best work. Speaking of Blitz sonic advanced it feels like it's trying too hard to be bge; but enough about SonicDbzfan07.I've been told on multiple occasions to use something better than sketchup, I wanted to code an engine that felt like SADX (my favorite sonic game btw), I've had ideas to try to do some animations; the reason I didn't...it seemed too hard, too complicated etc. I have blitz 3d, I just need to learn it. I have fragmotion for modeling and animating, again I just need to learn it, you know what I'm going to see if I can spread this message, because we do need creativity back. While I joined the blitz sonic community last year, I've been playing the engine since bge; in fact there used to be a facebook page, I kid you not.
I did create this in sketchup though:
I wasn't really sure what to do with it next though, it's based on the version in sonic 3, but I guess a reimagining of it, just simpler.

The thing is I don't want it to live I want people to move to Unity why you ask? Because it's better.

Sheesh that's really good it looks almost 1:1 with the actual desert ruins (then again the texturing in slw is so simple and easy to replicate).

Make a Rugrats themed map. And put Reptar in it.
