Hi, I downloaded the "Sonic Generations Platinum Rig"that silvicthdx / Darksonicmaster100 put up to download, and I am wondering how to animate the model in 3DS MAX. Thanks.

*raises finger to say something*
*decides against it*
It's easier than you think. You're going to have to watch tutorials on YouTube.

For movement, just use the w,e and r keys, or maybe e,r and t, I forget. Those control translation, rotation, and scaling. For keyframes, click the key button thingy at the bottom, and then auto key or whatever.

In 3ds max, you just rotate it around the axiis or the ball thingy. Also, if you select multiple things, it locates a middle between everything, and the bones rotate around that, automatically translating it. I find it much easier to animate in fragmotion. Even selecting bones is easier.

It is much easier to work with 3DS Max, and its easy-to-use features add to it. FragMotion is honestly more useful for converting file formats and exporting MDL files, which can be useful. Overall, though, 3DS Max is easier and more powerful in almost every way.

I got another question. Is there a auto-animate feature in 3DS Max, (or any other application)? What I mean is, let's say I want to rotate sonic's head, it there a animation feature that records how fast I rotate his head and animates it at the same time?

u get a model with absolutely no idea how to use it LoL It's a learning process, and now I am doing some basic animations in Max with this model, which I may or may not show off. Depends if I want to or not.
