XML library help

Hi everybody.
I was working on my two engines ( bs revamp / bs Arcus ) when I ha this small problem:
I wanted to make some variables editable in an xml but I don't know how to use the xml library exactly. So it would be nice if someone can help me.

Depends, what kind of value ? I mean, the power of a spring or a on/off
