When I was listening to an extended version of leaf forest zone, act 1 from sonic advance 2 with a genesis cover, I made me want to know how to do a similar thing with other songs I have. If anyone knows, could you tell me how or put up a link for a program for it please? Also when I mean a genesis cover of a song, I mean as it still is in mp3 format but plays in a 16-bit genesis cover style.

MP3 format uses waves to to make the sound you hear. A program cannot tell what to convert, since every wave looks the same, and overlapping in addition. You need to have the song in .MID format, so it knows what "Instruments" to replace.
