Blitz Sonic Ultra black screen

Hi guys, I am trying to play custom levels. I can load them but after a few minutes of game play, my screen turns black and I have to press escape to get out of it. How do I solve this problem because it is really annoying and interrupts my game play.

Yes there is. It's a problem with your graphics card. Like on my laptop, it used to do that all the time, then someone (maybe LS5 or Jloy2/Amy Rose told me it was with my graphics card).

It have to be a graphic card problem. all of the problems people have with blitz I never had before. even when I was using a accelerated intel chip

So, do we know why it turns black, you know, how the graphics card affects it?

Does it just forget all the files, and all you have left is the dark void outside the skydome?

Nope. I attempted at fixing it sometime ago, don't really remember how though, it has something to do with screwing up with the FxManager (or at least, that was how I could reproduce it). It _could_ be fixed by "spawning" another cam, however this tends to screw up too (as in, don't get assigned to the player properly, etc.) (so make a hotkey, for example F2, which you can press if you've got a black screen, so it spawn a new cam and thus you can continue playing.). Don't remember how it exactly wend though.

Some other symptoms of this black screen is the player is 'teleported' to the lowest number that Blitz3D can handle. This happens half the time of the black screens.

I have also been trying to fix this. The best result I could achieve was minimizing the amount of updates on the player. It reduced the amount of black screens that happened.

This might be off topic but how do you change the hit box if you added a wide-spring?
