what is a mesh and is it possible to put a "mesh" on a model? and if so how?

Woah... Well sometimes it's more smarter to research stuff on your own. A "mesh" or "Polygon mesh" is a set/ collection of vertices, faces, edges, ect that form ideal shape of a 3d polyhedral object in 3d. You don't put a mesh on a model it's the other way around. You model with a polygons and this itself is a mesh. A model is just a mesh aka polygon etc. Model is a mesh....

The mesh is the model itself. A model is made of vertices, with faces connected by them. The faces + the vertices = the mesh.
