I can definitely say that he is working on it, but he's got college and things to worry about first. Only saying this because he's going to give you a not serious response anyways.

Well I haven't had much time to work on it. I've made out a list even in class what I'm to do with the engine. I've only check off 7 things of a two page list. The only real down time I get with working on it is on the weekends but I usually don't feel like working on it. Too preoccupied with other things on my mind. I'm sure you understand how I feel.
But I plan on working on the engine over my ThanksGiving Break. I really wanna release a 2nd demo before my Birthday, thats my goal at least. I have a lot planned out for the engine its just taking me a while to get everything reorganized for my next to do for it. And adding auto adjustment resolution to the options.
So to respond I'm working on it when I get the chance to. Its a pain being a one man team since I'm letting Nico work with Oz on his "secret project" so I don't want to bother him with my petty things.
I can too be serious if I choose to be. As long as they are reasonable and not acting like an idiot.

Yeah, I wouldn't count on it. What makes you think that? And I will wait for TZ to comment. He's giving the entire thing a massive overhaul. It takes time. EDIT: Gah, I'm slow posting today.

The problem with that is to make it work with Intel Cards, he'll be taking away stuff, not adding it. Basically like a watered down version for shit computers. The people who I know with Intel Cards that work with BGE (and there's a couple models that do, like the Macintosh models) run it EXTREMELY slow, like sub-10 fps (imagine playing a flipbook and flipping it very slowly). My point is, BGE isn't Blitz Sonic anymore. It's as demanding as any other game (I have a computer that can run modern games at 8x antialiasing at 720p), and you'll need to upgrade your PC to experience it. If not, stick with Arrow's new engine and the not-so-secret project of Oz's.

He copied the camera style of Dimensions (not this new sega thing announced, i mean ss64's) and even added that weird thing where the camera goes over sonic's head as he jumps and falls... I do like that he's adding a shitload of characters though. BTW, Nico's all yours TZ. Oz replaced him with me instead cause Nico only wanted to animate Sonic.

About the sub 10 fps thing, BGE will run differently on different intel cards, and it also depends on how fast your processor is, how much junk you got on your computer and what resolution you are playing BGE at.....etc....I can go on and on, but I wont.

It's really about the RAM, in BGE's case. I have 4GB of ram, and I tried BGE on my friends laptop, he has only 2GB of ram, a worse processor then I have and i get a steady 15-20 fps playing the test stage. So, I am not worried about it being unplayable.

RAM has nothing to do with it. I could never play HD games at over 30fps, so I upgraded to 7GB of RAM to see if that would help. Worst waste of money I've ever made.
Then I bought a new video card (and the one I already had was better than an intel chipset card), and now I get amazing graphics for HD games at high speeds.
My point is, if you have an intel card, it's gonna run slow.

Half these people who can't play have like, 2GB, and the system itself takes up 1GB just to run other stuff.

So you're basically saying that in order to play BGE in its current state, you'd need at least 3GB RAM, a video card somewhere around the lines of an Nvidia GeForce GT220 [only one I could think of] and a decent processor? If so, then it's the video card and RAM I need. I already have a 2.7GHz processor with 1gb RAM and some shitty intel graphics chipset. And surprisingly, I can play BGE at about 12fps. Not bad for me :S
