How do i make a sonic game in gamemaker?

Hi, i would like to know how to make a sonic fangame in gamemaker,
I dunno where to start asking so i decided here, if this is not the place to ask please tell me where i can ask questions based on sonic fan game making, and i also would like help while i make the game, i dunno what to do or anything.... so..... yeah i need some help.
