So what do you guys think about nintendo's new console the wii u? Will it fail or sucseed(no need for spelling ) and will you buy it.
if you don't know what wii u is.

Just to make sure we're on the same page:
wii u has 1080p graphics, tons of third party support, and 50 % stronger than ps3 and xbox 360.

I'm going to buy the Wii U regardless since I'm a Nintendo Fan. Plus I love Nintendo franchises more then other stuff. Sure Gears Of War and Halo is fine and all. But, nothing beats Zelda, Mario and Metroid Franchises.

metroid+cryengine support=I'm sold, and yeah cryengine is fully functioning on the wii u so im exited to see a metroid game with cryengine.

Wii U is just going to gather investors attention again. Since they've been bitching and moaning about telling nintendo to start putting their shit on phones since thats all the rage these days. And so Nintendos stock drops, but the Wii U will bring it all back.

I want to see the new Smash Bros and Metroid. If Metroid isn't a launch title I'll be quite upset.

100 % agreed but I doubt metroid will be a launch title. I'm really exited about them bringing in the hardcore fans with this.

I think its the only thing that wouldn't take as much time. And being Retro Studios I can see it happening honestly. Its the only thing that be first party that they could get out fast and be worth it. We won't see a Zelda or Mario for a few years, Smash Bros will take at least 3 years to do. So I'm guessing it will be a Metroid Title or a Pokemon Title. They need something to captivate their core audience.

They need good OS system and Online Structure. No friend code bullshit and need to have Headsets and shit and a Friend system that is simple to use and appealing. So I can show my friends without looking like a fucking flaming businessman. lol

My guess is launch titles will mostly consist of third party things, and maybe a generations port to wii u?
