This has nothing to do with BSC but I had an amazing thought the other day: A Super Smash Bros. Engine I feel it would be a good idea because any fan of any game could make stuff for it, such as characters and stages all with unique themes. One of the main problems I can think of is move sets. What I was thinking is to have a Player.xml, where you could specify walking speed, attack speed etc. Also, if there a few base movesets, you could choose what kind of attack you wanted in the Player.xml. Of course, many attacks would be the same, only made different by the animations you make. Finally, I'm just saying this would be a great idea and I have no idea whether it would be possible or not. This is purely a suggestion and I hope for some feedback. Thanks, Plum

2.5D Fighting Engine? Ugh. That's more difficult than you think.

Lolol that's a great idea however it's going to be more hard trying to implement that. Also it's heavy on animations. I don't think much people is going to be able to crank out a bunch of "good" kick or punch animations just saying.

Meh... I just thought it would be really good, but if it would be too difficult, then... Well, no Smash Bros engine

Brawl already has so many animations just to edit. only those few who actually do it (god how do they do it that editor sucks!)
But I rather see a Metroid/Zelda Engine be hella worth it.
