Yuck. I hate AMD's so unreliable. You'd probably want something more then what you currently put up if you wanna be doing 3d stuff. It will wear down on your computer. I have a Quad Core and even still I'm talking to me professor about getting another quad core and linking them together to boost the process. Since I like stuff going fast.
I would suggest an ATi Radeon HD card like a 6450 somewhat cheap and can run all todays games at max specs. And it wouldn't kill to get a TB HDD since they don't cost much now days. This is coming from a guy who's got a job though.
Plus I like building my computers from scratch. But if anything look for something Intel I found them much more reliable with what I do. Intel i7 all the way. I just need another one though. So I can speed up the processing time on rendering out stuff in UDK/3ds max

Jerk. >_> Yeah, but I would listen to Miles. He knows his shit probably way better than I do. I agree that AMD is worthless, Intel is a lot more reliable.

Just make sure you can get something that can expand up to 16 or 24gb ram if you'd ever need it. Trust me. When you get into doing stuff like me. It'll actually take up memory. When using so many programs and loading them up.
I didn't feel like I was doing enough with 6gb. So I just made sure my computer could go to 16gb which it could.
In all honesty it'll be much more worth it in the long run. Since then all you'll really need to do is upgrade your graphics card if you'd really think you'd need to. 8gbs of rams is good 16gb of ram is beastly. Only so many people actually have 24gb ram but they gotta edit their bios to do that though. So really 8 or 16gb would be enough at most. Then you wouldn't have to really upgrade again. Unless Windows Fucking 8 makes it take like 4 gbs of ram for its next OS.
And I wish I got a 2tb HDD cause I already reput everything of mine back on my HDD only got 400gb left now. LOL. Just a bunch of isos and models and hacking tools and programs.
But what you got picked out would allow you to go far for upgrading without having much troubles. So you wouldn't have to buy a whole new computer in general.

And if you ever wanted to get a laptop always try to get the most best possible thing you can get. I hate trying to upgrade those things. So I just got myself a gaming laptop this year and said I was done. I just use it for college. Thats another thing. If you want something for college you'd want a laptop.
FullSail makes you buy a MacBook Pro which is really gay since when you think gaming they build that shit on Windows Comps so they want you to buy that with leopard OS and get BootCamp and buy the Windows 7 OS just wasting more money.
