Bad news......

No music will be made by me for a while..... My house got broken into all my instruments have been stolen, my guitars are gone all 4, my keyboard is gone, my synth keyboard (one of my main instruments for remixes), my flute and my violin also my ps3 yet my games, movies and computer are still here because my neighbors came home and that scared them off (they were the type scared by people being there I guess) but yeah no music for a while yeaaaa I'm really depressed right now XD

the XD was a typo by my ipod it changed a into an XD because thats my most often used expression also they just got home and that scared them because they thought they would notice plus they didnt have a vehicle it was two teenagers my neighbors saw them runoff

WTF. Teenagers. carrying all that shit, just check around the neighborhood, they couldn't have gone far, besides, how'd they know that you had all of those things? Why didn't they take anything more valuable? Or even better, check your local high school and beat the shit out of everyone, since those instruments were your passion. You have a band right? Tell them to keep an ear out for people playing any of those instruments...if they're still around.
Also, it may be a good thing that they took the PS3 since:

Firstly every single device created which logs onto the internet has a unique MAC address (yes every single MAC address in existence is different, barring those spoofing their real MAC Address with another)

So in theory Sony could tell exactly when a specific PS3 connected to the PSN.

However in order to find this person.....

First Sony need to actually track an individual MAC address (assuming you know yours), and find it logging onto the PSN (remember it doesn't matter what the user name is here, it only matters that they know the MAC address of the stolen PS3). Once on the PSN Sony need to record the IP (WAN) address it logged on with.

Secondly the police need Sony to pass on this IP address information to them.

The police then need to take this IP address, and contact the ISP (Internet service provider) and ask for the user's name/address. The ISP will usually refuse based on the privacy laws, and so the police will need to obtain a court issued subpeona, requesting the ISP to identify the owner of said IP address.

Finally if the police do get the name and address from the ISP they will visit said address, and face a number of possibilities:
1. Person at address bought the PS3 from a pawn shop/cash converters.... most likely
2. Person at address denies knowledge of it.... plausible because someone could have cracked their wireless, and logged the PS3 into their LAN.
3. Person at address claims they were given the PS3 by somebody else, or found it... vaguley plausible
4. Person at address actually stole the PS3.... pretty much the least likely outcome.

So yes in theory it is possible, but the amount of resources needed to be used to chase down the PS3, combined with the fact that the most likely outcome is just an innocent second hand buyer, means it will never probably really happen in practice.

If you REALLY want your stuff back, then this could be a good thing.

It seems odd to steal all of those instruments. But then again (not that I would steal), if someone offered me instruments, I would take them (especially keyboards). But it's really unfortunate that your house was robbed.

yeah im guessing they had bags for alot of them and im gonna guess they sold the instruments to the pawn shop, my neighborhood is near a ghetto so im guessing there from there also they are all across my basement and my room and near my computer there not exactly hidden. besides im replacing all this stuff in the next bit their special to me of course but their things i can replace, also alot of the sheet music i had has been stepped on and has broken glass and stuff so >_<

police said the damages equaled about 2000 dollars, @ loyd everything that looks more valuable then that stuff isnt obvious to see also FUCK i was gonna play for the musician thing at sage but now i fucking cant fuck the pricks who stole my stuff i hope their coke habit kills them (im just gonna assume they have a coke habit)

Srry about that. I feel really bad what have taken place. Stealing your music is messed up. Karma will soon catch up to them on what they done. You'll get everything you lost and more back.

my ps3 has been replaced and for a 2nd part thats more releveant to the project I HAVE a new synth keyboard and im getting a new regular keyboard pretty soon
