Haha, new hard drives aren't that expensive. I believe I got my 1TB HDD for about...
60-70 USD? It's not much considering how much storage you get.

Somewhat relate since it's computer related and related to the project because I can make stages easier but I'm probably getting a new laptop in the next week + deus ex human revolution:D

I actually have an idea.
Make sure your SATA and Power cables aren't malfunctioning.
If that's not it, try flashing the BIOS. Your brother should know about that.
If not, then look it up.

Well isn't this just the worst of luck. I've had that before, HDD failure lost everything I had. I used it as an excuse for a nice beastly computer for Christmas last year. Just now, I just finished rebooting this whole computer and backing everything up. My computer got fucked with malware and shit from my little bro. Got the google redirect virus. And some other shit that made my internet wireless cease functioning. And would lock up my computer. So I said screw it and backed everything I thought important and just rebooted the thing to factory settings. Now I feel more safe and less cluttered now  As to your problem, does the HDD even start up? Do you hear it spinning? Does it spin then stop? Usually thats signs of it being a HDD failure. If it can't be read and can't hear it spinning. If your really desperate try the freezer trick. |
