Sonic Boom (New Game and Show)

Well, for those of you who don't know, SEGA announced a Sonic TV Show and alternate line of games called Sonic Boom. It looks pretty good seeing the Wii U version is being developed by former Jak and Daxter and Uncharted devs and the 3DS by former Sly Cooper devs. They apparently have a much better reputation then Sonic Team themselves. Speaking of Sonic Team they're currently developing the main Sonic series in the background. The show will air on Cartoon Network and the game is a Wii U and 3DS exclusive.

To me the show looks corny, but the gameplay is much more of an open world for once and seems interesting. I'm not a fan of the character redesigns, but whatever. Knuckles is all that really bothers me...

i like these designs the best, the game looks EPIC and the show... gimme the remote... CN ALL DAY!

Well, the games came out, and they sucked. We originally hoped for a more open Sonic game with tag team. Then as gameplay was shown we hoped it would at least be a good Jak and Daxter/ Ratchet rip off. It turned out to be generic, glitchy, PS2 $5 shovelware material no where near the quality of something like Naughty Dog's Jak series. Also, the screenshot in the original post? Turned out to be fake and was made to get everyone's hopes up.

As for the show, I think it's mostly lame but has a few good jokes here and there. At least it's better than Sonic X.
