Yes. Google search "What is my IP" to find your external IP address, which is different from your internal IP. You can connect to other people's IP without having to forward any ports.

Even with hosting IPs and doing what you said I had issues for some reason. But I used Hamachi and everything was fixed. Same for GRP.
