The series that started simply as just a final fantasy disney crossover now has one of the most convoluted stories in gaming. That doesn't stop it from being near and dear to my heart and 2 persisting as one of my favorite games ever. Honestly this is a huge deal for me, Kingdom Hearts 2 came out in 2005, and ever since its all been handheld games (which by no means are meaningless spinoffs except Re:coded and 358/2 days). The end of the trailer says in development, which is the only time I've ever seen a trailer say that, but that means 2015 at the EARLIEST. Tetsuya Nomura isn't exactly known for punctual development (ahem Final Fantasy 13 versus/Now Final Fantasy 15). So anyone care to discuss this series with me and what they want from Kingdom Hearts 3? I want the storyline to be ended and the whole Xehanort saga ended. Literally the minute Xehanort became a character is when the story went to shit. The fact that a psp game is possibly the most important to the entire storyline is completely unacceptable, like, I don't even know anyone with a psp and the fact that Birth By Sleep really introduces the main villain of the entire series, brings up the X-blade, talks about the creation of the heartless and nobodies, shows why Riku is the intended Keyblade wielder, tells us why the fuck Kairi randomly could wield one, makes it ultra important. But alas, discuss!

Never played KH1 or KH2 but for some reason I'm hyped up for KH3. I don't know, I guess it's because JRPGS became a rarity now, and probably my favorite game of all time is Dark Cloud 2 (DC1 sucked but don't worry DC2 has a completely different story) which happens to be a JRPG. In DC2, the plot deserves its own anime, the graphics were amazing (for PS2), the gameplay was the best I've seen in an RPG (even a "create your own town" part of the story), and the music was something else. If your on PC just get this on PCSX2.

I've always wanted to play that, but I cant track down a copy and my computer wont run pcx2
But yeah
It's definitely not a good idea to jump into the series with 3
even people whove played all the games have barely any clue whats going on

Well, it's called Dark Chronicles in other parts of the world. So try asking them for Dark Chronicles instead of Dark Cloud 2. It's not a game you should miss. It's all over my area.

Normal game stores here dont sell that generation of games anymore
you have to go to a pawn shop or a retro game shop and the retro game shop in calgary is horrendously overpriced (cough, Metroid Prime for $100??? Fuck that. I can get that on amazon for $2)
