I can honestly say that I haven't been this hyped since adventure 2 really just because of the slowed down sonic. I was never the biggest fan of the boost game play but this engine to me even looks better than the adventure engine.

Main theme out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTbZgid5AwwI MUCH rather prefer this than a rock main theme. Hopefully the game will have a fully orchestrated sound track and the main theme is a bit longer Won't be getting the 3DS version of this after hearing Dimps is developing it. If I ever get the Wii U, which I may or may not get, then I'd try this out. Also, first REAL cutscene got released. Beautifully pre rendered cutscene. www.gametrailers.com/videos/5t1859/sonic-lost-world-exclusive-walkthroughI'm still iffy on the level design (looks a BIT more open world but still pretty linear) and the game's possible length though.

Have you seen the 3ds version, yes DIMPS is developing it however I've only seen a few instances of DIMPSiness, like a few dashpads, the multiple hit enemies, etc. I'm pretty hyped for it, I was hoping gta 5 would hold back my hype, but what am I gonna do. 3ds footage, more for the music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ubse0h9D5EThat owl from the wii u version
Silent forest part w/the 3 shooting chickensDAT Draw Distance and all those platforms
3d sphere boss, yes please

This game got pretty low scores from reviewers. But the soundtrack....
Mainly reviewers said:
- No acceleration what so ever, really ruining the Sonic-ness of the game.
- No momentum. Go top speed into a spring, and lose your speed.
- Bad and unoriginal level design.
- Broken jumping.
- Little replay value.
Still... Dat soundtrack.

I've heard more of a mixed reaction from fans, but I still can't speak for the game (especially the 3ds version) since the US doesn't have a demo or the game itself yet, 6 days left.

I really tried to like it, but I just cannot get into the level design. This gameplay with non-abstract and original level design would be fantastic!

So you'd prefer something along the lines of this then? download it, it's a pretty great test engine by mrmediamanx (bagjac). www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITUXjeVXBQg

The whole aesthetics of Windy Hill ruin it. With the idea of Windy Hill you're forced to linear design. This is the main reason I canceled my Windy Hill stage. Which is a shame, since I worked so hard to create replica textures. Then I decided I should make it a map for Mirror's Edge for the lols... Decided against it, so now, if I ever do pick up on it, I'll probably make it like a parkour challenge level for GDK or LS5E2. Like Minecraft parkour; make a hard jump or platforming section, get a nice joke or two in a humorous note, then continue and try to make it to the end as it progressively gets harder.
Also, just watched all the cutscenes... It was disappointing. I was hoping an Unleashed type of plot, but this one copies over plot points from Colors and gets very predictable, and constantly ruins it even more with the comedy. Also, I have nothing against Roger Craig Smith, but his voice acting in this game is much, much worse. Also, did I mention Knuckles and Amy only stay in this game for like 5 seconds? They just put them in so they can say, "Hey, they're in the game. Buy it."

Well, this game is coming to PC: store.steampowered.com/app/329440/If you could hit Generations at around 30fps you should be able to hit 60fps on this with the same hardware. I'm basing this off of how Unleashed and Generations are 30fps on PS360 but Lost World is 60fps on Wii U. So this should run better on lower end systems. Also, modding potential.

I really hope I can get 60 fps in Lost World; of course it all depends on optimization. The game will hopefully be ported by Sega Europe (who handled the fantastic Valkeria Chronicles pc port), though the steam page says Sonic Team is the developer.

Well the game is out. Anyway, for me it's pretty well optimized and I don't think the framerate dropped even once. Using a GTX 750ti and an i3. Other people using AMD report that things render in the wrong order or performance issues. Also, people generally using laptops or integrated hardware seem like they have a hard time reaching 60fps with this game and the game speed is tied with the framerate. A beta patch was released (look at the Steam Community for info) that gives a 30fps framelock option as well as a framerate unlocker, but keep in mind it's beta.
The game itself is pretty short; like Colors short. You can beat it in a day or a weekend. It's fun until you reach the later levels, then it's rage, and the game has a bad time teaching you new mechanics that are never explained. For example, the spindash hop, opening hint bubbles, homing charging (which is needed to beat a boss)... Overall, it seems like good modding material, once people get used to it and get better tools. Obviously there are gripes with how the physics are but at the very least we have much more platforming controls than we did with the boost games.
