It's risky, but If I were you I would upgrade your hardware if you're wanting to play games better.

You will fry your very low-end hardware if you do. I need a little help as well, though. I think I should be able to OC my CPU to 3 GHz from 2.8 GHz. I believe my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU. Phenom II x4 925 NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 580 3GB

Looking at these specs, is this a laptop? If so, I highly do NOT recommend doing so if that's the case.

Processors overclock themselves these days. Overclocking isn't much of an option now. I suggest save up about $600 and then buy or build a new computer. But if your doing blitz sonic and fragmotion stuff only, you can find a computer that suits your needs for like $299.
