So far I see an engine someone else made in a pretty lifeless stage... not bad for a beginner but trying to single handedly make a fan game might be a bit too big a task for ya.

Well, here are a few tips: 1. Texture art is probably the easiest thing you can do. Think about the art style your going to make this game like. You can literally paint your textures in programs like photoshop or paint.NET (Honestly if you don't have money I highly prefer learn Paint.NET, it's easy and simple to learn by yourself.) Don't recruit anyone for texture art since they are not in charge of the game and don't know as much as you in the project about how you want it to be. Easiest and best way to make textures (Same way it was done in like every Sonic game) take a picture and edit it. Also, there is no shame in ripping the textures from a game. If you can't rip then rip off the textures from someone's blitz sonic stage (LOL, I'm being serious!) 2. Main menu?? Seriously, you need to recruit someone for this? Why can't you take the existing menu from the demo that came with UDK? Study its code, or heck, copy and paste. According to Unreal's license on this you don't need to give credit for this kind of thing (or was that Unity 3D'd license ) 3. No offense but you can only recruit people if you show them that the engine seems promising enough to at least work on. Otherwise you'll end up having one of the 100's of projects here ended less than a month of development. 4. If you can't import your own model in GDK without questions, you don't know what your doing ;D And please, if your planning on getting this engine anywhere, Why the Generations model? Learn to model and animate. People will not only like the engine but also the character design, art, and graphics if you learn them. They play a large role in this and don't use presets. Don't.This might be a tad bit out of where you're at but this will teach you ALOT: www.lynda.com/Maya-2011-tutorials/essential-training/63358-2.htmlPS: you can get a free copy of Maya from the Autodesk Student License. Google it. Oh, and it teaches everything you need to know from modeling to texturing to rigging with IK to animating. 5. Unreal script. Okay, people may say your just 13 but trust me, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that you know an object oriented programming language before jumping into Unreal script. And, it is a lot of work but rewarding. I personally recommend learning action script 2.0 and Adobe Flash. Looking at your YouTube channel you'll need it to step up your vids with learning animation. You will learn programing and animation. Plus, ActionScript's syntax is VERY similar to Unreal Script. Plus there are tutorials for actionscript everywhere from Tutorialized to Newgrounds! It might be a bit of an adventure going through all this but hey, I have and many people here had to jump in to this head first (Including me). Don't just get people to do your work for you but learn every inch of it. THEN ask people for help. Right now you have been getting much more help than anyone else here. So, Good Luck! -Random 3D modeler to lazy to make an account.

thx i already made a basic place holder title screen a few weeks ago but what i was asking is if you people can give me ideas,i chose the generations model cause i thought it had an interesting taste in modeling and it looks cool and I know how to make rainbow boosters i have experiance with coding,TRUST ME,and I don't have alot of free time so I'm always constently working on my game and my brother is always taking my pc for facebook giving me even less time and i have to take my time with my game so it'll be good,my goal is to have at least 2,000 people to play it so i need alot of helpers to get my game done without working on it for 5 or 6 years due to not having alot of free time, well what you sayed helped me and i have a team of about 10 people but they are mostly voice actors,i also have to focus on music and my musician is never online on gmail so my game will be silent for some time untill i get a musician on FB(facebook)well that's all.

That was a quick response Brother hogging the computer? I know what you mean Anyway, go with Generations boosters. Also make trick ramps and a grind rail abillity. If you make a video featuring those two in good quality you will already have more than 2000 viewers. FUN FACT: no one, not even twilightzoney managed a grind rail script even though it can be incredibly simple. I already know how but I will leave it up to you as good practice. Like I said many people will view your stuff if you finally have a working grind rail in GDK. I would but can't help you for one main reason: I don't have much time to work on GDK and my main computer can't run it but my others can but are rarely free. By the way, here is a hint for working rails (might be too vague to replicate) it involves an invisible wall, a raill with two frames (one with and other without the wall) and mapping. I trust you know coding and that you can carry it out. - Random 3D Modeler too lazy to make an account (I really have to make an account but I don't do much blitz sonic stuff, only GDK)

Thanks! ^^ Honestly I thought I was giving you useless info! I look forward in your engine and I'll always be browsing this forum to help so if you have any issues post it in this thread and I'll come to help if not already answered. Well, I need to go to sleep so good luck on your future stuff! Oh, and if you need any 3D models for your engine I'd be happy to make some for the engine! No credit needed! And you seem to know more than any of us thought. good job on the rails! By the way to get more views title the vid Sonic GDK- working rails or something. More people actually search that on youtube than sonic dark world, no offense.

WAIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT! Don't upload it yet! People will thumb down like crazy if it is incomplete. Complete means the ability to switch rails with a button, complete in 3d, actually a rail model, and grinding animations. Make sure you have all that before uploading along with HD quality. As for the lo0p there a several kinds of them in the GDK demo. -Random 3D Modeler too lazy to make an account

to make the rainbow ramp and rainbow dash rings all i need to do is to make it when you press W,A,S,or D you do different animations and add points when you collision with it,i told you i know what i'm doing, but it may take some time with all the coding i need
