I recently started experimenting with normal maps (pseudo hi-poly), bump maps (roughness detail), specular maps (shininess and reflectivity).
I would like to know how to apply these to models into blitz models.
bump maps and spec maps I'm pretty sure what to do after experimenting with the alpha map and detail textures in the BSU demo 1/2 models
what about normal maps though? is it even possible?

^Good job bumping nearly a year old thread XD I have no idea why you want both a normal and bump map in one model at the same time. They're both different takes on the same exact thing with slightly different results. Normal maps can be converted into bump maps in photoshop though so that's one solution. I haven't seen normal maps used in the blitz engine before but I've seen bump maps used several times

Fragmo only supports 1 UV channel, which really sucked for what I was about to do

^Yeah but they're not used at the same time. Only two of them are used at a time (since it's impossible to use both normal and bump maps at once). Also, Blitz 3D has bump mapping, it's just not in the documentation. I heard you have to manually add it through code. -Also on a side note, I tried to use displacement maps by applying them into the polygons in Maya and exporting to Fragmotion... Pure disaster and sheer LAG I think it's possible though if I lower the amount of poly's and export it directly as 3ds to Blitz Sonic. But then again, what's the point :I It's gonna lag to the point where it's unplayable if it even works but I'll try it out.
