Hi all. I recently tried to add a death mesh into my stage in BSU 3, but for some reason it doesn't work at all. I start the stage, and it says "Game_Update_Stage() -> [Start] Error loading stage 'Stages/' xml. Parse error." This doesn't happen when I take the mesh out of the xml, the stage plays normally then. I'm pretty sure there's no errors, since I pasted the text from a working death mesh (Editing the appropriate things, of course.) Is there anything wrong with what's been entered here?
<animmesh filename="Stage/Die.b3d" visible="1" collision="1" die="1"> <position x="0.0" y="0.0" z="0.0"/> <rotation pitch="0.0" yaw="0.0" roll="0.0"/> <scale x="30" y="30" z="30"/> <attributes> <color r="255" g="255" b="255"/> </attributes> </animmesh> Thanks in advance.

You may want to try using mesh instead of animmesh. Tell me if that works.

That's probably why. I had to change everything with "animesh" to "mesh"

Ah, I fixed it. Turns out I missed a </animmesh>. What's the difference between mesh and animmesh?

<animmesh> looks at the animations in a b3d, etc., file. Mesh just loads the...mesh.

I guess I'll use mesh then. Any chance using just mesh can improve the performance/loading times?
