The Irony is that:
-All rival battles are against hedgehogs.
-Shadow's Chaos Emerald IS THAT DAM FOURTH CHAOS EMERALD!
-All bosses are final bosses in both versions.
The fails are:
-Egg Emperor is used as a modern boss in Sonic Generations for 3DS but is actualy a dreamcast boss.
-3DS Modern gameplay is like the Classic PS360 gameplay
-You can get statues in the PS360 version but you have to go online for the passwords

You forgot to mention that the emerald you get from fighting him is the Yellow Emerald, an important plot point in SA2.
