SOPA is terrible. It's not going to stop piracy, it's going to fuck up the internet.

But still, SOPA never would've won. The internet plays a MAJOR role in pretty much the whole world's life, and to get it censored in a country which covers a vast majority of said world, would spark some form of RAGEWAR, which I don't think anyone would like.
