It would have been fine if you had a good plan. But starting with someone else's work generally gets you nowhere. Find a team of people who are interested, get them together, work on it for a while until you have something good to show, THEN make a thread.

You can't really make an engine if you don't know how to do much. And even if u put together a bunch of engines, it's not really a game. |
