Well, being unable to live without boost would mean you have a rather strong and worrying addiction to the Sonic Boost. People should see a doctor about that.
Personally, I think BSU 3 is the best engine yet, as there is no boost, but rolling physics. THAT WORK!!!
I love going down the slopes in some of the BlitzSonic levels of ages past and reaching stupidly high speeds, just to see how far I would go.

Having shot rolling physics that can ruin a game while preventing people to boost is much easier. I love boosting best thing and actually makes sense of what Sonic can do. If sonic rolls how does he see where he is going. Roll under small obstacles thats what we got sliding for. It just makes more sense that way. I love the classics but the modern way for gaming is perfectly fine the way it is. Just be like the Zelda series from here on out and just change it bit by bit not alot that it kills someones enthusiasm.

Personaly, I loved Both demos.
Demo 3: Reminds me of Dreamcast Era Sonic (SA & SA2) gameplay. The gameplay was smooth including drift. I dont remember if drift was in Demo 2 after I lost it.
Demo 2: It's Like Modern Sonic's Gameplay, The boosting was pretty sweet and had it's own running animation. I wish I had this again but my computer died.
Overall: Both Demos are totally unbeliveable great! I just wished they had Super Sonic coded in like Sonic Dash but it cool they way they are. Hey is Arrow working on another engine?

That's sad to me. Relying on only the right side of the controller to do all the work.
It's not "The flow of the game" that matters. It's how you learn to beat it through trial and error. You're supposed to die more than 10 times throughout a gameplay of Sonic The Hedgehog if you do not know what is coming next. To me, boost encourages the creators of the maps made for Sonic Generations to make it easier to stay on the map, which is not supposed to be done in a Sonic game.

You do realize you can do that with the classics as well right? And he is using a classic controller pro that Wii on a PC. Honestly you complain for the sake of complaining.

Look, Im not saying a boost is bad. Its just overused. Am I one of the few that sees that?
Plus, just for laughs, Sonic Retro not long ago were complaing about Sky Sanctuary in Generations not being "yellow" enough. Yet no-one complained when Classic sonic got the homing attack....Hmmm....

Honestly you complain for the sake of complaining. That statement is wrong, as I am complaining for a reason. Why would I complain for no reason? That doesn't make sense. Also, I didn't mean you should die a lot in a Sonic game no matter what, I meant it should be a challenge to stay alive if you don't know what to expect. To be honest, I don't think you should even be able to save your game. A difficulty level would be great in Sonic games, it all depends on what the player thinks is a challenge, and what is frustrating. Super Smash Bros Brawl did it perfectly.

I understand what your saying... it was good when they first used it in Unleashed... Unleashed isn't bad because it has boost... it's good because it was the first time they used it... the only reason Boost is bad, is because of it's overuse... they've used the same engine for the past three years. which is what makes boost bad.
