Well blender have been ongoing alot of new changes with Bmesh and the Cycles render engine. It seem like the cycles is becoming a big deal over the old blender internal one so I've been using it quite frequently over the internal. I just used the SSBB sonic model off the resource for messing around. The model is not that high poly at all, but it looks alright. This was rendered at only 500 samples plus minor compositing. BLACK EYES!!! Download this wallpaper 1000 samples if you want www.mediafire.com/file/p17wea2t9v6uavv/Sonicssbbcycles_1000.rar

OMFG SAWNEEK FOAR EPAHSOAD FWEE??!!!?!!?!?!Does anybody know any way I can smooth the mouth on the cutscene model? It's really bugging me. And before you try to be clever and say: 'Use the 'Smooth' modifier', it doesn't work :/

You don't need to use a modifier to make it smooth. There should be a button that allow you to set those verts to smooth shading. I don't know what program your using to tell you where.
