There was a used Slim PS3 on Gamestop for $149, 160GB I think? I personally think save up for a PS4. Keep up with the times, don't worry about specs, and easy game recording Also, PS4 controllers work on PC now, which is cool. If you do get a PS3, my suggestions: - Jak Collection (My favorite games ever remastered in HD and true 3D. Truly the best platformer of all time. It's an open world 3rd person platformer with a big world, and not a single loading screen) - Little Big Planet Hub (LBP 2 just got free to play with over 2,000,000 community levels) - Uncharted series - The Last of Us - Killzone - DBZ Battle of Z (Upcoming game, 8 player online multiplayer battle. Sure that might not seem like a lot but it's unheard of for a fighter) - Naruto Shippuden Storm 3 (Very well made fighter. Too many trolls online though.) - Minecraft (Also coming on PS4, Xbox One, and Vita) - Ni No Kuni : Wrath of the White Witch (a JRPG made by Level 5 and studio Gibili) - inFamous - Metal Gear Solid 4 Become a console gamer . One of us. One of us. Can't play online though, I have a Dev PS3...

Hmmm looks like there will be puzzle elements in sonic lost world although I'm sorry this just reminds me far too much of super mario galaxy and that part w/the pineapple was creative, but unintuitive.ever remastered in HD and true 3D. Also you forgot the best metal gear game of all time (in my opinion) rising, sure it's supposed to get a pc port, but when? I have the game on xbox 360 and I love it yes it's short, but it's made for replayabilty to get the S rank, oh and ughh gta 5 also it'll be the 1st gta game where I complete the story, which is the best in the series perrrriod!

I don't usually get the most recent consoles, if I buy one at all. I just wait a generation and get the old one for cheap.

@sonicwarrior A dev PS3, not a dev PS4 ;P And yeah, lost world sadly doesn't look too special. They have a nice engine, but the level design isn't the best. In fact, I don't think Sonic ever had truly good level design in 3D. Not a 2D fanboy, just saying. They should've made it a bit more open world. Marble (LS5)Oats then. That's fine, actually smart.. You know, not the best idea wasting $399 + ($60 * how many games) + $60 (extra controller for local multiplayer) + $50 (PS Move for those of you who can't stand playing shooters with a controller) + PS plus (actually, I like PS plus. You get invited into lots of Betas easily.) + additional accessories... Yeah, I don't think I can pay for all that XD I just hate how Sony dropped backwards compatibility with PS3. I remember PS2 had full backwards compatibility with the PSX with even controllers. Most of the best games are on PS2 though. Try out Jak and Daxter on PCSX2 though, that game is awesome. On a side note, there are rumors LBP 3 will be developed by Sumo Digital while MM are working on another game. I can trust Sumo with this one. Also, naughty dog hinted out either a Jak 4 or Uncharted 4. IT'S ABOUT TIME.

HOLD THE PHONE No backwards compatibility with PS3? That's a no-no.

They said to make up for this, many PS1, PS2, and PS3 games will be digitally downloadable, but no disk or controller compatibility. I like the idea, keeps it cheaper than Xbox One's $500 pricing. ... Don't even get me started on Steam Box. No joke. The image is official. I give up on you Valve.

Fucking love how the Steam Box controller works. Looks responsive and much better than the "hold direction and hope you hover over your target in time without overshooting it by a mile" method. I would use it for other consoles and PC if I could. Also customisation for the analog pads gives the traditional controller users a friendly thumbs up.
With all the experimentation done by Valve, I can tell they're going to be at the top of the gaming industry any day now. I don't even care if Half-Life 3 doesn't come out for a long time, as long as Valve keeps making fun and exciting new content for their users, as well as promoting user-created content.

Dude, have you tried Playing a FPS on an Ipad? Touch analogs are awful. Physical analogs are also awful. As long as you're using your thumb, you won't have much accuracy any way. The mouse is better for shooters cause you're using your wrist. Same with the PS Move. I don't think this will change much. Either way, even though the PS Move looks weird.... Really weird.... In my opinion it's actually more accurate than a mouse. Too bad only games that truly support it are LBP, Mag, Killzone, and just a few others. It's all about how you're handling the controller, which is why mouse is better, still. And I just can't get over that button placement. Plus, PS4 is less than half the price of the steam box. I'd rather pay $399 than $999 for the same games. Plus, I get exclusives. Either way, both generic console controllers and steam box controllers look like they both suck. But people have opinions, and I'm cool with opinions. Opinions are coolioats.

I feel the opposite way, while mouse and keyboard/ps move/wii remote are faster for aiming I find that my accuracy is lower, one example is team fortress 2, I'm just not good with using a keyboard and having all these commands it actually feels kind of overwhelming. I prefer to use my logitech f310 in xinput mode, maybe for the menus I'll use my mouse, but that's about it. Wait the steambox is $1000?! Oh heck NO!

Actually, looking a bit more into the steam box it seems interesting. Judging by game play videos, people seem to have lots of control. I just hate the lack of buttons and Dpad. I respect Valve for the fact that you don't have to buy a steam box to get a steam box. If you have a powerful enough PC, you can just install Steam OS to turn it into a Steam Box. Finally, a gaming based OS for people on PC. I'm not signing up for their hardware beta, I'll just wait till 2014 when they release Steam OS and dual boot it on my PC. And if I think the steam controller is good, keep it. If not, then I'll just use a PS4 one. Also, been playing around with SFM.. Actually pretty cool. Still, my main gaming machine will probably end up being a PS4. Not a console fanboy, just I think that's the best option. I keep an open mind though and am waiting to see what Valve can do with the Steam Box, Steam OS, and their controller.

I've always wanted to be a handheld gamer. Well then you made a great choice getting that 3ds, I had a psp, but I gave it to my sister and got a ds instead, massive library of games, unique exclusives and it's Nintendo they always make killer handhelds, Every hand held system I've owned (outside of psp) has been made by nintendo. I've even been enjoying some gba and ds games on my pc.
